Susan Carmichael
Susan began her journey as a qualified physiotherapist in 2006 after receiving her BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Witwatersrand. Her career began in a renowned large-scale practice, where she navigated both hospital and private consultation settings.
Taking her skillset to the next level, Susan accomplished her Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) training in 2010. OMT is a postgraduate course in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating joints, muscles, and nerves. This accomplishment deepened her proficiency and accuracy in addressing more complex orthopaedic, neural, and muscular conditions. As a result, she devoted her time to advancing her knowledge in Chronic Pain, Stress Management, and Headaches through diverse courses.

Susan worked in London for three years, further honing her skills. Upon her return to South Africa, she made a significant career leap by launching her own physiotherapy practice in Greenstone, Edenvale, in 2014. Eight years later, in 2022, she relocated the practice to the serene locale of Broadacres in Fourways.
In addition to her expertise in physiotherapy, Susan has had in-depth exposure to different fields of medicine, from Trauma, Cardiac and Neonatal ICU to surgical, medical, and psychology wards for both adults and children. This has allowed her to cultivate a much wider understanding of the human body and its complexity.
Susan is actively passionate about complex and challenging cases. She thrives in the problem-solving aspect of her profession and is committed to guiding her patients through their unique challenges to carve out the road to recovery. Her practice provides a safe haven for growth, support and encouragement in all aspects of treatment.
